Beaconsfield is located 46 km south-east of the CBD. Beaconsfield is a sparsely populated rural suburb in Melbourne's fringe south-east. While the area has not featured the rapid growth of Berwick or Narre Warren it has still increased its residential population significantly over the last two decades. The Princes Highway along with the Pakenham Railway line traverse the area. The suburb also features Beaconsfield Reservoir a Flora and Fauna Sanctuary and incorporates the township of Officer.
