Starting a career in real estate 
To work in the real estate industry, you must first complete the Agent’s Representative Course. As an Agent’s Representative you can work for a Licensed Real Estate Agent and undertake a broad range of duties and responsibilities such as sales, property management, business broking and buyer’s advocacy.
Students can choose to study the superseded 3 Unit Course (Available until May 2021) (Understand the 2020 education requirement changes) or the new Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.  

​Becoming a Licensed Estate Agent 
Often known as the “Licence Course”, this is the minimum education qualification required to obtain your Estate Agent's licence. The full licence qualification offers a range of opportunities to develop your career prospects. As a licensed estate agent, you can act on behalf of a vendor, landlord, purchaser or tenant in Victoria to sell, lease or manage real estate or business.
The minimum educational qualifications required to apply for an Estate Agent’s Licence are a CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice and CPP51119 Diploma of Property (Agency Management).
