Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an investment in your real estate career.

In a dynamic environment where the economy, legislation and technology are constantly changing – it is important to continually evolve to stay relevant. The REIV CPD program focuses on continuous improvement, and as a stipulated membership requirement, it sets members apart from other real estate practitioners.

CPD constitutes learning and development that helps you stay up to date and continually build skills, knowledge and expertise in real estate. It can include:

  • core training programs to learn new skills
  • competitions to finesse your expertise
  • short courses and seminars to stay up to date with legislative changes
  • events to learn from your peers

Learning that adds to your repertoire of real estate skills and knowledge can count towards the REIV CPD requirements.

What are the REIV CPD requirements?

All Licensed and Representative members are required to accumulate 48 CPD points over three years (rolling) with a minimum of 12 points accumulated through REIV activity. Members can keep track of their CPD here . Please login to view your current CPD status.

Planning your CPD for the year

Members are required to vary their training over each calendar year and will not be eligible to accrue CPD points for any training that is the same or similar. Speak to an REIV Learning Consultant to plan your personal development.

Step 1 - Identify the area of real estate specialisation you wish to learn more about

Step 2 - Consider your level of experience in the area

Step 3 - Review the REIV CPD program to identify what's on offer. Consider any other training, events or competitions that could help you professional development.

All REIV CPD courses, events and competitions are developed under the advice of leading industry professionals to ensure our members are always well informed and equipped to deliver high quality outcomes for their clients.
