Victorian Government Funding (Skills First)

From January 2017, Victoria's training and TAFE system will be overhauled through Skills First. A new approach to training will be implemented, setting a high benchmark for training quality, and supporting the courses that are most likely to lead to employment. Under Skills First, subsidised training will continue to be available to eligible students and there will be no changes to the existing eligibility criteria*.
 
  • The CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding *eligibility criteria apply.
  • The student tuition fees as published are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.
  • General Concession apply for eligible students.


Enrolment for eligible students is under Skills First Program and may impact access to further government-subsidised training.

Fees for each course are displayed on the individual course pages and are indicative only.

We encourage individuals with disabilities to access training subsidised through the Skills First Program. 

 

*Eligibility for Skills First Funding

In order to be an Eligible Individual in respect of any training, an individual MUST meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a physical presence in Victoria while undertaking the Qualification.
  • Meet citizenship/residency requirements, i.e. be an Australian citizen, or holder of permanent visa, or a New Zealand citizen.
  • Must meet ‘up skilling’ requirements, i.e. commence a course at a higher AQF level than is currently held.  
  • Commence a maximum of 2 government subsidised courses in 2017.
  • Undertake a maximum of 2 government subsidised courses at any one time in 2017.
  • Commence a maximum of 2 government subsidised courses at the same level within the AQF in your lifetime (Qualifications listed on the Foundation Skills list will not be counted towards the AQF level requirement, the Foundation Skills qualifications are included in the 2 qualification a year guideline).
  • Commence a maximum of 2 government subsidised accredited courses with the title “Course in … “in your lifetime.

Eligibility Exemptions

The following individuals referred to training under particular initiatives may not be required to meet certain aspects of the eligibility criteria:

  • Asylum Seekers
  • Retrenched employees
  • Automotive Supply Chain Training Initiative


Eligibility Exclusions

The following individuals are not eligible for training subsidised through the Skills First Program:

  • A student enrolled in a school (excluding a school based Apprentice/Trainee).
  • A prisoner held at a prison
  • A person who is detained under the Mental Health Act 1986 (Vic)
  • A person who is detained (other than on weekend detention) under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 (Vic) or the Sentencing Act 1991 (Vic) or who is held on remand in one or more of the following youth justice facilities: 
    • Malmsbury Juvenile Justice Centre;
    • Parkville Youth Residential Centre; or
    • Melbourne Youth Justice Centre.
